A Case of Uterine Prolapse Complicating Pregnancy Corrected by Silicon Pessary

Abstract
|
|
|
Uterine prolapse during pregnancy is rate only 230 cases have been reported. The majority prior to 1900. In 1940 Keetted reported only one case among more than 13,000 obstetric admissions during a 14-year reported only one case among amore than
13,000obstetric admissions during a 14-year period. Uterine prolapse during pregnancy is emphasized for the importance of early detection and proper management because of the risk for maternal and fetal infection, fetal demise and maternal
discomfort
during pregnancy.
We report a case of Uterine prolapse complicating pregnancy detected at pregnancy at 8 weeks and treated by pessary with a brief review of the literature.
